Maybe I've just never paid too much attention but last night after changing fork oil I took the bike for a quick ride around the block to make sure nothing falls off and when grabbing the front brake hard I'd get a click and pull from the front.

So I got it in the garage and grabbed the brake and gave a good shove and noticed the front fender tweek under the pressure.

Sheesh, these things are flexier than I thought! I never really gave much thought to fork braces but after that I might consider one.

 

Fork Braces make a huge difference in the way the front end handles.

I had a dyna low rider and prior to the fork brace the bike was all over the place when braking. DO BUY one

 

Just added. Bike has 700 miles, give or take. There's a thread with some pics. Two types, Harley, or SE. They are a must have item if you are a serious rider.

Inverted front ends are much more rigid, great under heavy braking.
