Default Road Tech Radio draining battery

I recently bought a usedHarley Road Tech radio without instructions, and mounted in on my '93 Springer. I did connect the wires correctly, but it appears the positivewire to the battery (for radio memory) is enough to drain a fully charged battery in a week! Did the amperage check, and there is a drain only when the radio's connected. I'd hate to remove it. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue.
