Default new bike, gas tank hazing...

...just noticed this AM that where my chaps hit the tank, it's hazing in the black section of my aniv. softail custom. I've waxed it twice in 650 miles and I'm quite surprised about this. Guess I need to be more bow legged. Crap, I guess I have to wax it after every ride, or quit holding my legs together like a virgin.

You're not riding a sport bike, you don't need to squeeze with your knees.

You may consider putting some clear decal stuff over that area of the tank to protect it.

Even virgins have to spread their legs eventually.

I would go with the clear bra material. It does a great job of protecting the paint, and its hardley noticable.

my bike came new with a haze at the bottom. YOU COULD SEE IT IF YOU GOT ON THE RIGHT ANGLE . I hade a body shop use a polishing wheel on it to remove it.They said harleys are mass produced so they dont spend to much time on polishing the tins.

Where would one find something like this that has just a bit of thickness to it?
Thanks guys for letting me whine just a bit. I've got nothing else to do. Winter is killing me.
I did go out today on both bikes though. 29*F. Waxed her when I got back.
