Default Heritage Windshield with Chrome Nacelle

I recently installed the chrome headlight nacelle to my Heritage. In anticipation I purchased a Screamin Eagle Road King detachable windshield. I figured this would work because the opening around the headlight would be the correct size. I was right, the opening was the correct size. However, the detachable brackets do not work and the ones on the SE Road King windshield do not work either. Does anyone know of a way to get the brackets to work, or should I just have someone cut my Heritage windshield opening wider? Ideally, I would like to make my Heritage brackets work.

I need to figure this out prior to Laughlin. Thanks in advance for your help.

Default RE: Heritage Windshield with Chrome Nacelle

I used the lower mount to keep the windshield at the correct height, and then simply drilled a hole thru the windshield mount where the holes are in the top tree and used chrome allen bolts to mount it. Not as fast as kwik detatch systems, but noones gonna walk off with my windshield either
