Default Putting the FLSTC in storage...

...Leaving in 10 days for the Gulf andwant to store the bike. Local dealer is awesome (Bellingham Harley) ...will store the bike inside, heated for free for the length of my 7 mon. deployment. Besides fuel stabilizer and battery tender what else should I do to keep it in good shape? Should I change the oil prior to leaving? Cover it? Thanks.

Good idea to change the oil before storage.
Keep it off the tires if you can...maybe nitrogen in them will help(instead of air)
Give it a good cleaning and wax the painted surfaces
Put a good conditioner on the leather(make sure its leather tho) and that its clean.

And keep safe in your deployment, thanks for serving the USA.

Hey Brother be safe over there and come home asap, thank you for serving our country.
Ya might also want to cover or plug-up the exhaust and ACso no little critters get in there while your away.

Be well...

Great to hear that your dealer will store your bike free of charge. It just proves to me that there are good dealers out there........lol. Take care of yourself and come home asap.

bullhome, In addition to the above I would also consider a cover. The dealer may be great but no sense in chancing scratches.

Best of luck out there, keep your head down.
