Default Anybody had experience with prewired handlebars from ebay?

Hey i was looking through ebay and came accross these
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...spagenameZWDVW

Anybody ever tried this type of set up? Is it worth the $ to buy prewired or is it something i can do myself fairly easy? Thanks.

the wires are not hard to do yourself, cept you gotta pull your tank to unplug. you'd need new wires anyway? that looks like a sweet deal

I got 16's for my old Dyna from these guys andI loved em. I also put a set on my buddy's Softail and he loves his, too. They are expensive, but it was worth it to me. I cut the wires at the neck and staggered the splices. After I soldered and heatshrinked them, you really couldn't even tell I did it. If you plan on taking your tank off and replacing the wires to the junction, I would buy the parts individually and run the wires yourself. It would save you a couple hundred bucks.

I wondered too of the quality of the eBay pre built/wired bars. Here's another eBay store that cells pre built/ wired bars for a little less then what you posted, but it doesn't include the cables.

Anybody have any feedback on the quality of the chrome and/or control switches?

If I could get the bars I wanted and knew the quality of the parts seems like a great deal. Make the process easier and dont have to pull parts of the old bars and put them on the new ones. Sounds like it would save time as well. Maybe they can do some Carlini bars for me. Hmmm

I installed some prewired handlebars on a friends bike. The wiring harness was a used piece and the control switches and coverswere plastic chrome, could rotate whole assembly. Levers had some play in them to. They looked Ok for the money but friend replaced the control switches and covers. Buyer beware. JMO.

I bought a set of pre-wired apes in black from the same company. Quality of the powdercoating was mint. Only had a small complaint with the wires (three out of the 12 were about 1" longer). No big deal since the connections are out of sight but I am a picky SOB. I fixed it myself (took about 30 minutes) and they fit perfectly now. I would definitely reccomend the company to anyone.
