Default I did a Stage 1 on my Deluxe

Just wanted to let people know how it went.

I'm no mechanic but I have a little bit of mechanical ability.

I did V&H true duals, a V&H fuel pak and a K&N Breather. The parts were from Eastern Performance and they were great to deal with.

No missing pieces and excellent instructions for each part.

The pipes took me 10 hours, the fuel pak 1 hour and the breather 1/2 hour. I could do the pipes again in 4 hours.

The hardest part were the stupid 02 sensors, especially the one on top of the oil tank. You have to remove the battery and pop out the little clip that holds the connector.

The nuts for the head flanges are tough to get at on the rear jug. But I popped the oil lines out of the tank with a liasle (?) tool from sears. This gave me enough room. I did use new flangegaskets even though the bike is only 6 months old.

I used the mapping numbers from the V&H site and when I hit the starter it fired right up purred like a kitten. I can't ride yet because of all the snow here in the great white north.

I've got my fingers crossed that I haven't lost too much torque with the true duals and that I don't have the decel popping that many experience.

I also put a Heritage Springer grab rail, and a Hog Deluxe fender bib. My Hog Deluxe Bags are on order and then I'll put my visa card away for a while.
