Default spacer question

i was taking off my front wheel [21 fxst ] and dropped the spacer ,can a spacer be put in backwords??? does the groove in the spacer suppose to face the wheel or it doesnt matter ??? thanks in advance

Haha...just kidding. darkman is right. But if you feel the need to keep it exactly as it was, the groove side goes to the outside (fork end). I think the groove is maybe just something used to hold the spacer during manufacturing. That'd be my guess.

Ozzy, if you go for chrome you can get the spacers with or with out the groove!
