Default Finally got my 3" extended on my 96 FATBOY

New badlander seat, new Mikuni hrs 42 carburuter, New Accutronix 3"extender froward controls.

Well I told some of you guys on here I would reply when I got these controls on so here it is.
The 3" Accutronix would've hit the fender like everybody told me. So we had to make a plate that come up and back maybe a 1/2 inch. On these pictures it looks like maybe 1" or a 1 1/2" from the fender until yah load the shock up then they just miss the fender. so here it is just wanna thank the people that responded too some of my pms. Oh by the way to all those people out there with questions about 3" controls.
Im 5'11 with a 32" inseam and I could probably went with another 2-3 inchs
if the bike would of allowed it. So when ordering dont be scared.

Tramptaxi-
I'm glad to hear that; wanting to put extensions on, but unsure if 3" would be too much? I'm 6', 34" inseam, and didn't want to be "stretching out" to reach controls. Difinitely my next modification on "the list" when the time presents itself.

No pic I shouldve took some but i wasnt around when they put it on.
A local bike shop did the plate. (Brake side only) They basically just
marked the 2 mounting holes on the plate and then marked the frame
holes too the plate. It turned out pretty sweet theres probably only
a 1/4 inch between the fender and controls when yah load the shocks
just misses. I think the steel was 1/4 inch thick. if interested in getting
3" i will do anything to help yah out with what i can. Im just glad somebody
replied too this post knowing not too many people have done it from the
months ive been searching. IA
