aftermarket seat for softail deuce.....help????
i'm in need of opinions from you fellow deuce owners....i'm looking at replacing my stock 07 seat for a more comfortable one, i do ride 2 up from time to time, but i'm not that keen on the touring model hd has to offer. i was wondering what others have on their scooters,i'm interested in a seat thats comfortable, but i don't want to loose the sleek look on the rear....any suggestions would be great....thanks...

RE: aftermarket seat for softail deuce.....help????
I've been looking for an aftermarket seat for my 98 Softail Heritage and just ran across these seats today from a vendor called "High End"through JC Whitney. Not sure if they'll have what you're looking for or not but these are hand made leather seats for a fraction of the cost just about anywhere else that I've found. When you first openthe site, you'll have to click on the "change vehicle" link towards the top of the page and find your bike in the drop down listing sinceI just cut and pasted this link from what I had saved which iscurrently set on the 98 Softail FLST...good luck.

I don't think there is a good looking, comfortable seat for two up riding. I have three seats. Stocker, which I don't ever use, Badlander, for solo riding, and Sundowner, for the old lady. Good thing it takes less than a minute to change seats, and the Harley seats are fairly reasonable. Chad

I know my bike isn't a Deuce, but I may have some advice for you here, as I wanted more comfort myself, but could not stand how big most of the touring seats are. One option is to get Mean City Cycles to modify your existing seat. I have never heard anything but great reviews on this guys work. He can even make it sleeker than it is. It's a verycost effective option. Another thing to look at, if you really just want a new seat, is C&C Seats. I bought one of their sport touring seats for my bike because it was about as low profile as I could find in a touring seat and their prices are very good. They are pretty firm, so you might opt for the gel inserts they offer. As you can see by my sig pic, I don't like bulky seats either!

Mustang wide vintage. Very comfortable......did 13hrs, gas & food stops......partied when I got there.
As far as not losing a sleek looking rear end, keep up with your gym membership, but it's still going to happen some as your get older!

I tried 3 seats and am sold on my current seat. It is the LePera Sorrento, bought off EBay. I like it so much I would pay retail! The look takes a bit of getting used to....like 1 ride. 2 up it is huge improvement. It may have lowed me just a tad. There are a couple pictures in my link below. The "look" has never been commented on by anyone, bad or good. I had originally considered having rear area tapered a bit by an upholstery shop since seam would have to be relocated to look right after tapering...but after very appreciative backseaters loved it I nixed that.
