Default Help!!!

Bought new chrome sliders for 07 FXSTB part number 46477-07. Installed them along with front lowering kit, problem is the stock dust cover doesn't fit on them. (very loose). The factory slider has a notch at the top of slider where the dust cover fits into, the new ones just have a tapered edge at the top. Has anyone run into this before??? Is there a different dust cover that needs to be installed with the chrome sliders?

Thanks,
Anthony

Yupe...ran into the exact same thing when I bought my black lowers off of a dude on eBay. But, I was a bit more lucky than you. The guy that helps me work on my bike has his own shop and cuts metal any way you can phathom. So, he cut the notch in the top for me so that I wouldn't have to send them back.

If I were you, I'd contact the company and send that **** back.
