Stock Drags Night Train Internal Wiring
Do those that have done internal wiring use an aftermarket set of drags or has anyone done the stock bars?
With the risers and the bars clamped in it seems that you would need to drill holes at the bottom of the risers above the bolt area, then drill holes in the bars where they sit in the clamps assuming the risers are hollow.
I also have the tach which wouldn't get hidden.
Just wondering if anyone has done it this way or if everyone goes to T bars?

If you want internal wiring you will have to go with drag bars with integrated risers. Regular risers aren't hollow.

During my wait for this answer I found some cool options, now to decide which one!

RE: Stock Drags Night Train Internal Wiring
I put night train stock risers and bars on my softail standard right after I bought it. I really wanted internal wires, so I had the bars drilled out between the risers, and ran the wires internally to the center, then down between the risers. As Sarge stated, you can't run the wires inside the risers. I put a bag/pouch on the front of my risers, so no one could tell from the front that the wires came down between the risers. That could be an option for you.....or change the bars. I just took my bars and risers off and added Carlini T-bars with integrated risers.

RE: Stock Drags Night Train Internal Wiring
Thanks again guys, I have about 3 bar options I found I like but with the HD bars being the most expensive.
The nice thing about the HD bars is they are 7" and the other 2 I looked at are 8" or 6" but cheaper.
I have a tach right now and if I change bars for internal wiring I don't know if I will keep it.
Decisions, decisions
