Default Samson Longtails Discoloring

I purchased a set of your true duel Longtails (S2-433) thru my Harley Davidson dealer to put on my brand new 2008 Softail Deluxe. I bought Samson’s because I love the sound andthey make the best looking Fishtails, HANDS DOWN. I took delivery from the dealer with then installed. At 800 miles the dealer used a race tuner to fine tune the bike and when I came to pick it up I noticed some gold coloring on the muffler that connects to the rear cylinder. The dealer service department told me that was normal and it was the nature ofthese pipes. The bike now has less than 1000 miles on it and I am not happy with the continued gold discoloring of that muffler. Is this indeed the nature of these pipes or is there something wrong with the chrome process on this muffler or is the dealer responsible for this? Have other 2008 owners had this problem?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

If those pipes come with heat shields, and for what they cost im assuming they do. you should not have any visible discoloration. any pipe is going to discolor but the heat shieids should hide it. I would definatly be on the horn with samson.

They do come with heatshields to cover the header pipe. The discoloration is actually on the muffler and that does not have a heatshield.
