Well, I used to heat up the pipes a bit, just warm, not hot, then use bug and tar remover on them. Then when they cooled down, chrome polish followed by wax.

Blue job

I used to use the 0000 steel wool, & sorry dyna bob but I DID scratch my pipes with it. maybe the chrome on my pipes is a little thin, but there are definatley scratch marks on my lower pipe from the stuff. blue job works awsome, no dull and no scratch.

Easy Off Oven Cleaner, just warm up the bike , spray on and let it sit and wipe away the rubber.

I use some stuff called Power Paste. You wet it and use a cloth. Works for me.
