Solo(!) Luggage rack for '07 Fatboy? Anywhere?
I'm looking for a DETACHABLE solo luggage rack for an '07 Fatboy (that wide 200mmtire = wide fender) that sits above the fender and tucks up against asolo seat. It needs to fit on the HD detachable hardware though. When you mount the available HD luggage rack/backrest combo, it just looks too hinky hanging back there off the tail.
Any suggestions?

I'm waiting for a "solution" like this too. Right now, I'm one of those hinky-looking rides!
Things are real functional for me, but it sure would look nice to see that nice wide rear fender more. (heck, my stuff isn't even the quick-detach stuff, but I get it off easy enough).
Off thread topic, your bike would look real sweet with one of those super-lay-down tag brackets that a couple of us got here from a forum fellow.
In the pic below, this new bracket mounts into the stock three-hole. The bracket does NOT touch the fender. It can't lay down any further.

Here's the guy (he's private, not a company) that makes these brackets. $20 ships anywhere in the lower 48 states. Lay-Down Curved License Plate Bracket
Excellent quality. and NOTHING touches the fender. The four end-nuts are holding the plate to the bracket. His thread shows all the good "up-close" photos.
I put a small piece of weather-proof foam behind my bracket (just in case), but it stays off the fender by an 1/8 inch or so. I needed a slight tweak to the curve part which was no problem by hand, without tools.
It was a tremendous improvement over the original "bill-board" mounting bracket.
Will keep my eyes out for a detachable solo fender rack.
