Default FLSTC Bag removal

I took the bags off my FLSTC and was wondering if anyone had any Ideas on how to cover the bolts that hold them on with something that looks good. I like the look of the bike with out the bags but I want to leave the bolts there so I can put the bags on easily if I need them.

Try a detachable kit for saddlebags. Here's a few links:

Of the three brands listed above are there any issues, preferences, experiences anyone can comment on? For instance, does one push the bag out in a funky way more than the others?

I recommend these.... u can order chrome caps to cover the mounting hardware and they look really good. I have these for my bike and the kit is dead easy to install and looks really good.

I know Dinger runs these on his bike also.

I don't necessarily have to have detachable bags. Would just like to put something on those ugly ol' bolts stickin out. Detachable hardware look alot better with the bags off?

My Harley dealer has 4 chrome caps with magnets in them to cover those bolts.

My dealer sayed that they dont make covers for the bolts that hold the bags on. I have seen the magnetic chrome caps but they are only for the detachable backrest fastners, they only cover the fastners for the backrest so then only 2 of the 4 could be used on the heritage classic. I couldnt justify paying 300 plus dollars for a quick disconnect kit fot the bags when i can remove he 6 nuts in 5 minutes. I had some custom covers for the long studs that hold the bags on. they where machined out of 1in or so round bar stock, they are drilled and taped and screw down tight to the strut. I wish i could show you but my bike is in storage for a few more weeks. They turned out really well and for the cost they cant be beat, My father in law mde them for free. the only thing that will cost me will to get them powdercoated gloss black to match some of my other parts. but they would look great in chrome also. i plan on trying to get to my bike this weekend maybe i can get some good picks. The studs where the first thing that i wanted to adress when i got the bike, i love the bags when i need them but love the look without them when i go solo.

These pics are not so good but hope you get the idea. The rear one has a spacer that can be removed so he detachable back rest can be installed and still use the stud covers
