How do you tighten all the parts with the chrome spacer?

What size chrome spacer should I use, and where should I buy?

Thanks

I did this mod a couple of years ago. I put anti seize on the stud that goes into the triple tree and did not use locktite, everything is holding tight after 3 years. I got my studs and nuts at Grainger, Fastenal has them too.

You cannot put a spacer over the two nuts because you have to install the nuts onto the stud then install the turnsignal. You won't be abe to tighten the nuts up to the t/s and the triple tree. You can install the windshield bushings on the same post if you want you nee a 1/4" longer stud. The t/s sticks out a little further but it doesn't look too bad especially if you want to use your windshield.

Mine's a 2001 so I replaced the older style turnsignals with the newer deuce style signals.
I also moved the rear t/s to mount on the License plate bracket with th Bubba's Brakes part.

Thanks Warg for the step by step and pics.. Is there any way of doing it without seeing any wires for even a cleaner look? BTW, your bike looks awesome...

I am in the process of searching for hollow threaded rod. Once the light is proof fitted I can drill thru my spacer and feed my wires into the tin. At least thats what I'm gonna do in theory.
