Default Front Master Cylinder Leak

Thought I fixed this, but still getting some brake fluid leaking around one of the screws. I replaced the gasket and torqued it down good. I was careful not to pinch the gasket or tighten too much.

Any suggestions?

This didn't start until last week when I removed my master cylinder to pull the wires out of my bars. I turn the master cylinder up side down for several minutes. I have replaced the gasket since then

If the gasket is seated correctly, and you have it tightned enough and not too much...the only thing I can think of, is maybe too much fluid in the reservoir itself??

Controls are OEM, and the gasket is on correctly. I will probably take out a little fluid today and see how that works. It's wash day anyway.

Got it figured out. It wasn't actually leaking after I replaced the gasket. There was residual brake fluid up under the lip of the gasket that was running down the outside of the master cylinder. I took a tiny flat head screw driver wrapped in painters tape (so not to tear the gasket or scratch the master cylinder) and pushed a piece of cloth up under the lip of the gasket and dried all the residual brake fluid up. All is dry now.

I went back out and there was some fluid pooling around one of the screws. So I took it back off, dried all the fluid out of the hole and lowered the fluid level by about 1/16". Hopefully this takes care of any more seeping.

Hey WARG, who did the black chrome on the football, that really looks good behind the skull plate.

It's actually gloss black powdercoating. A local shop did it for $15.
