Default Suction-cup passenger seat

I was curious how many people on here will pop on a suction-cup backseat when their S.O. rides. My GF is paranoid that the seat will slide or fall off or something. Please, everyone who has one, post so I can show her that it's safe.

I have a buddy with a ridged and his girl rides with no problem. With that kind of vibration it still stays secure.

What? She don't believe you? Next time you say they're totally safe, say it louder.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but any issues with paint damage?

Mine has a soft felt backing, so no issues with the paint getting scuffed, and the 'sucker' marks wipe off easily enough. Once it is on there, particularly with the weight of the average sized woman on there, it isn't going anywhere. I think your GF can relax, and rest assured she won't slide off the back of your bike. Besides...haven't you taught her to hold on tight yet?

So who sells a good one? I'm interested in one for my Springer Classic as I just replaced the stock seat with a Corbin solo and their matching pillion doesn't look too passenger friendly - looks contoured to the curvature of the fender.

Blue,

Take this from a guy that had the stock gunfighter, your girlfriend will like the suction cup seat a whole lot better! And, as stated above, it won't go anywhere.

DaveJ,

Make sure you clean the fender and suction cups and you won't have any problems.

JMC,

Phantom Pad with Biker Gel. ~$150.00. Highly recommended.

Default I have experience riding on a suction cup seat

I currently ride on the back of my boyfriends bike on a suction cupped seat. I have not had any problems of it sliding off the bike or anything like that so far. Today without me sitting on it, it fell off the bike just because you have to re-wet the suction cups every once in awhile. However the seat itself has not slid at all while riding. It is actually nice so when you don't have your gf on the bike you can ride without the seat which is how my boyfriend likes it. Also it prevents you from putting any holes in your fender to mount a seat for her. My advice is to make sure that the seat is comfortable for her or if it's new that it will loosen up a bit. Hope this helps.
