Default Detachable passenger backrest and saddlebags

Hi Guys,

what kind of saddlebag supports would you recommend that would go with detachable passenger backrest.

Backrest goes with special mounts. You cannot put anything between them and struts (because backrest would not fit anymore).

I got crafty and used a set of Easy Brackets :

I modded the easy brackets to bolt up to my HD rigid saddlebags. You can purchase a set of Easy Bracket mounts that are designed to work with the stock HD detatchable backrest. So now I have detatchable saddlebags, and a detatchable backrest. Heres a link with pics asto how I did it:

Check out Bubba's quick release system. A little pricy, but quality stuff.

My wife wants saddlebags but I dont like the way they look. I thought about detachable saddlebags...... but I wondered if I would ever really remove them.....

Do any of you guys ever actually remove them?

I bought a t bag for my sissybar. holds more than saddlebags, and if you get a rear fender rack you can run with that and a passenger.

Frequently.

I don't like the "bird watcher" look of saddlebags . However, when I commute to work, bags are aGREAT way to carry my lunch, and some extra cold weather gear if needed.....

Hi, Your links are expired. Can you report or explain how I can have struts with dual mounts for BOTH Detachable Backrest & Saddlebags at the same time? Anyone? Thanks!

Don’t remember where I got my mouthing Brackets from, but I def take bags on and off. Bags sit in the black mounting bar, and two pins hold it to the top. Pretty easy!
