Default sissybar pad removal

My Mustang seats and sissybar pad arrive tomorrow.. How do you remove the center bolt to remove the stock pad? Is the harley emblem covering the bolt just glued on?

The screw is under the HD logo keno. It is held with double sided tape...just pry up an edge with a small tweaker screwdriver or a razor knife and pull that sucker off...there's your screw!

Good luck...

Got er off..08's must be different.. No double sided tape or stickum or anything. there are two "studs" that friction fit into inserts attached to sissybar.. Now the question is, when I install the Mustang pad w/ one center bolt there will be 3 exposed holes where the emblem was.. I won't be able to double sided tape it back on because it is hollow in the middle.. Any suggestions?

Well damn keno...I hate steering people in the wrong direction! My bad!

As far as the new application goes...you'll just have to look around until you find something that works for you. I have found that HD has a lot of 'stick-on' type emblems that look good on various locations on the bikes. I am using 3 of them...including one on the back of the sissy bar cross bar. I think they look great and they are cheap!

Keep looking...you'll find the right piece!

Mine was the same on my 2002 Heritage. I just reinstalled the HD cover.
