Default '97 or later TC88 Heritage Springer?

OK, I'm in a quandary. I LOVE the paint sets on the '97 Springer, especially the white w/red trim, but I prefer the TC88, counterbalanced engines on the 2000-2003 models. I haven't ridden either, but every review I've read says the '97 was a pretty rough ride, especially over 65mph. I've located a '97 and '00 that I'm interested in. Any thought from you Springer aficianados?

You better try e'm........that and the price will be deciding factors. A couple of years ago I bought a 97 Hert Softail with 3800 miles on the ODand absolutely love it.........long rides and all. Will be on it this summer from PA to the 105th in Milwaukee !!

I have an 02 and an 03...twin cam is very smooth.
I helped a buddy in Canada purchase a 97, so I got to ride it for him to make sure it was OK...At speeds under 65 it vibrates...Evo's do that..Doesn't matter if it's a Heritage Springer or not. After 65-70 it smooths out on the highway....

I don't think you'll be disappointed either way.
