Default Fatboy rear fender swap

Hey, I'm thinking that I want to change the rear fender on my Fatboy so that I can see more of my rear tire. Will this fender bolton like the factory Fatboy one? Anyone try this mod? If this ebay fender won't bolton to get the look I want, what will? Thanks Mark

That style of fender, the Softail fender, will bolt on to your bike. However, you need to get the correct year. It looks like you have a 1998 Fatboy. You'll need a 1999 and down fender. I'm not positive, but I believe they changed things in 2000 so it won't bolt on to your bike. Also, check into it a little more, but you'll probably need a fender starting at around 1995 because of the fuse box cutout.

Ah, That makes sense about the year! I should have thought of that. Anyone have any pics of this mod after the change?. Thanks Diavolo!

You'll need an Evo FXST or Evo night train fender, which bolts on directly to your bike. The rear end of your bike will be the same as any of this years models. Look for a 95 to 99 rear fender, sure it bolts. I don't really know if another years will do, but maybe they do.

Regards,
