Default back brakes sqweal 07 fatboy

I have a quick question maybe you guy can help me with my back brakes keep sqwealing when im in 1 gear, slowing down, and pulling off. But when I tap them the nosie goes away. I took to the dealer and they switched the brake pad two weeks later the same crap. just took for 1000 mile service at a different dealer they took the whole rear brake caliber apart and put it back together. when I lefted the dealer no noise. so I thinking its gone I get on the highway and go home but when im getting off the highway them same freakin noise is back can someone give me some advice?

I had the same problem with my Fatboy. It drove me and my buddies crazy when we would ride. I took it to the dealer and he beveled the pads which help for a short while but it returned. I now have about 4500 on the bike and the problem is no longer around. I guess it just needed to wear away the part that was rubbing. It is annoying as hell, but it will go away in time.

Sounds like either your caliper piston(s) are hanging up or maybe your brakes just need to be bedded.

Or you need to change pads... they don't last that long...

Mine had bad brake dust and squeal until i removed the pads and cleaned the calipers and then used anti-seize compound. now that work great. permatex 133a
