Idon't have a Custom but an '07 Heritage. I put these on about a year ago. They're very cool looking. I had to grind down the bottom edge of the cover ( for the right side of the bike I think) to make it sit correctly. I think that they're the best looking rear axle covers available.

I have those on my 2002 Fatboy. Nice choice. I dunno if they'll fit your bike. Sorry.

Thanks for your response, let me ask you if your bike has this bracket on the right side (see attached photo with red line below trouble area, the L shaped bracket is in the way) I tried to install covers from HD with little success.

Please disregard this posting as I called Arlen Ness about these covers and they told me NG....2000 thru 2006 only, I wish they would adjust their site to reflect that limitation.

Yes I know your problem, use a grinder to get rid of the part that is hitting the caliper, then use a polish wheel to smooth things out, see photo. I used the kuryakyn, cheaper and better looking
