Default XBones seat opinions...

All you Xboners, howz the seat mounting - firm and no flexing of the brackets? Did HD do a good job with the fitment? If everything is really satisfactory, then all of us with Deluxers can use the same setup. You can buy all the HD parts needed for about $175, and $270 for the seat. Not bad, considering buying aftermarket kit ranging $260-$300, not including the seat!

The frame cover may need a little tweaking, but it's only a $20 part. Worse case, can have one may or make your own fiberglass cover..

It's all good. The front of the seat bolts to a bracket at the tank and rear is screwed into the fender via the plastic cover. I weight about 235 and the seat is very stable.

I love the ride of the seat, the only down side I am finding is that when you get on the throttle a bit(), the rear seat springs really compress a lot, you feel like you are coming off the back of the seat, so you tend to hold onto the handel bars with a tighter grip and use your back muscles more ,I weigh around 260lb so I might be loading down the seat springs more then the average guy.

i like the seat...i...um... only weigh 160, so i do not have the same problem as BTL (no offense man) although, when running through the gears you do tend to have to hold on a little tighter. i am hoping that the windshield solves some of that problem
