Default Kuryakyn fuel gauge

I'm getting ready to install Kuryakyn's fuel gauge and I have to get at the fuel gauge plug. Does the tank have to be removed? I have a 07 Fatboy.

On my 05 I was able to work the wires out from under the tank with out removing it.

Best $ spent is on a manual.

No the fuel tank does not have to be removed. Just follow the wires down the left side of the tank. The are held up by a small clip under the tank. Remove them from the clip and this will lead you to the plug in. All you have to do then is disconnect the plug and either cut off the plug end or take the wires out of the plug. Your call on that one.
