Default new grip trouble

I installed a set of h-d grips on my bike 2maybe 3 weeks ago. if i gently roll the throttle side forward it sticks. the cables are adjusted properly and lubed. it snaps back from every position perfect. but will go past the stop with minimal pressure and stick, almost like the two notches for the cableferrules are jamming in the grove of the housing. it even does it on decel when i roll off the throttle to brake. any ideas? o yeah bike is 07 deluxe.

[8D]sometimes you can screw around with the throttle friction and take that out of there, I have the same bike and it helped that roughness I had when I put on new grips---good luck with it---Capt Bob (07 softail deluxe)

If you are sure cables are adjusted properly, check to see if the cable is in the grip grooves properly. Double check the throttle lock isn't screwed in. Double check there isn't any excess plastic or material that is in/on the grip or in the control housing that is binding.

If you can rule out lube, adjustment, the absence of foreign material, and all the cables are routed properly, and you still have the problem, it's time to take it to a mech and let them look at it.

Just loosen the bolts and slide it to the end of the bar a little, you have pushed it on to far!!!
