Default Another Rocker question from a newbie

Hi All,

I have been lurking around here for awhile, this is a great site for a newbie like me. I have finally made the cross over from sport bikes to cruisers. I ordered a Crimson Red Rocker and I'm excited about it. My question is has any one put on drag bars, like the ones pictured on the black Rocker on the Harley Davidson site? If so I would like some pictures. Or ideas on which ones to choose.

This site sure makes the time go by, I'm in the Army in Iraq working on my second tour. So it will be a few months longer before I can get on that sweet Rocker. Thanks in advance for the help on the drag bars.

Sorry no pic, but i also have been thinking about the drag bars, the stock bars feel so good im afraid that the drags may just f_ck everything up. that and when you get the drags you also have to get the diamondback clutch, brake and throttle cables to go with it and ifI dont like, then well im stuck with $500 worth of garage junk. ???

Yea, I was wondering if the riding position would be to far forward. That's why I have been looking around first. I have a few months before I get the bike, I'm sure someone will have some on by then.

Robert,

I wish I could do more for you than this. It's the pic off of HD's website:

They say they're 1.5" narrower than the stock bars, and about 1.5" further forward. I wouldn't really call them a "drag" bar, but they have a similar effect on the rider's position....just not as asthetically pleasing as real drags.

And thanks for doing the job most of us wouldn't be able handle. Hope you get a chance to come home soon.
