Default fatboy cam advice

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, so make it one million one............. I have a 2004 fatboy and I'm thinking cam job but not sure of the right setup.I'm not doing the heads or a big bore. The motor is stock except for the pipes and high flow breather. I'm not looking to race but looking for some more *****. If you have some advice please give it. Thanks in advance. Ken

I asked this a little while ago. The majority of opinions I got said that just doing the cams would probably not be worth the money. I am going to wait and doa big bore kit at the same time.

With all due respect WARG, I was told almost the oposite. That a good set of cams would be the best money I could spend for performance. I did some research and settled on S&S 510 gear driven cams and man did it wake up my scoot.
It is estimated I gained 20 hp but I haven't dyno'd it to confirm. It sure seems like it from the seat of my pants. I love it.
The gear drive's are more expensive but I feel well worth it

cams are good bolt on with air cleaner and ignitioin. wood cams is my choice of course i punched my 103 out go check my dyno on "had my FATTy dyno'd" post that is with 45 mm mikuni, v&h pro-pipe wood tw6 cam 10:5-1 pistons comp releases etc. did have to crack my cases to drop 103 flywheels in but that was only the extra $ when the MOCO replaced my last motor cause was still on warranty. like i said im partial to woods cams but do your homework

Andrews, or Wood cams are a good choice.
