I assume the engine still running? Looks like throttle cable broke. Should be easy to fix.

HUH [sm=huh.gif][sm=huh.gif][sm=huh.gif]Throttle cable? I seriously hope your joking.. The bike would still move if the throttle cable was broken.. Could be a number of things, broken drive belt, or a pulley issue ?? Hopefully nothing too serious

I have an '04 FB myself. I'll be interested to find out the end result on this one. Could be handy or future reference. Please let us know once you've had it in to the shop for a professional assessment.

I would first look into the tranny. `check clutch cable, then pulley, check the plates. I had a FXDL which the dealer did not screw the adjuster on the plates and the clutch plates moved out engaging it and took the drive away from the bike. Check the clutch adjustment.

Sounds like something to do with the drive system (pulley, belt, or transmission). If it was a throttle cable like said, it would still move forward when you released the clutch, just wouldnt rev...really need some more info to diagnose
