Default Lowering the Softtail Deluex

Great Forum All,

Lowering kit on the ’08 Deluxe? Is there a significant handling difference?
What positive of negative feedback or experience have you or anyone you know experienced?

Do I have to lower the front end as well?

Thanks,

Andy

Hey Andy,

The deluxe is already lowered from the factory. You can make it lower, but not with the factory lowering kit if that's what you are looking for.

Mine drags all the time as it is. I hit pipes, floorboards, occasional kickstand, and the frame on all but the smallest speedbumps.

If I was going any lower, I would do it with and air ride system so that I could raise it back up to actually ride anything with turns involved.

I also recommend the air ride, which will be one of my next winter mods

Just put air ride on this winter. Love it. Way to go but a little pricey.
I went with the Hi-Lo System. $900.00.
