Default Any Softail Toolboxes in Black?

I've scoured Google and eBay, but can only find them in the usual chrome (or leather). J&P has a flat black one... but right-side replacement (i.e., no bracket) only.

I realize that I can have the chrome ones powder coated, but it irks me to pay extra for the chrome and then strip it off. C'mon, the Night Train and Cross Bones have caught on big-time... someone has to make these in black!

I was wondering the exact same thing. Be nice to have a place for plugs/plug wrench/alan keys, and other small, needed tools.

You could get the chrome one, and powedercoat it black. Probably wouldn't cost too much.

Not to mention that it would no longer be necessary to carry registration and proof of insurance on me (the boxes lock).

Didn't like the look of the metal ones so I made a bracket for a leather pouch.

That would be ideal if he sold them for both sides. At least I know there is hope of finding this. THANX!

I bought a left side chrome HD one, and a can of wrinkle black paint, and did it myself. It's turned out pretty damn good, if I do say so myself!

Cheers!

There are a few chromish accessories I would like to Black out, I thought that if you overspray on top of chrome it would eventually flake or start to peel....

Anyone have experience with spraying or powdercoating chrome???? Not looking to spray or powdercoat a
300.00 primary cover thats for sure.

Thanks.
