seems kinda silly but check the bulb. i have seen it where the filiment would burn threw one side and drop down on the other probe. making it look like both lights are working. if not that then probally a short in the harness to the back light.

good luck

Ok, not the bulb. Just put one in I had in the garage. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't know why it would stay lit up when I disconnected the brake switch. This has me perplexed. Anyway, goin to get some supper. Later.

I FIXED IT!!!!! Road Master, you were correct. The front brake lever was not making good contact on the front brake switch. I bent the actuating rod out just about 1/8" and now it works like a charm. I had put different handle bars on about 2 months ago and am wondering if I somehow bent it or something. Thanks again for all the help.
