Default ROCKER C - STAGE 1,2,3, P/CIII, WHAT DO I DO?

IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT I DO ABOUT THE AIR FLOW AND WHAT STAGES 1,2, OR POWER COMMANDER 3 DOES TO THE BIKE. WHICH WOULD BE BETTER FOR ME IF I USE THE HEAVY BREATHER AND BIG RADIUS VANCE AND HINES PIPES? IM STILL WAITNING TO HEAR FROM ROCKETMAN69 ON THE BRACKET FOR THE PIPES SO I HAVE SOME TIME. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

I'm no expert by any stretch, but to get you started. A stage 1 is (as I understand it) air filter, exhaust and fuel map (reprogram). You must adjust your fuel to accomodate for the air in and exhaust out changes you are making. The PCIII is just a fuel management system (more or less) that tells your bike's computer how much fuel to send to balance out the changes you have made. The PCIII, V&H Fuel Pak and the SERT (Screaming Eagle Race Tuner) are all do about the same thing (manage fuel) but all are just a little different. This is the dumbed downed answer to your question. I'm sure somebody will be along pretty quick to break it down further. Good luck with the upgrades and congrats on the bike.

I just did the "stage 1" to my night train and all went well. did the work myself. PCIII programmed from www.fuelmotousa.com, K&N #3909 and hooker darksides troublemakers. couldn't be happier

out,

You will likely want to go with the SERT (Screaming Eagle Race Tuner) because it does not stay on the bike. PCIII has to stay with the bike and there is little or no room for it on the Rocker C.

Consider the affects on your warranty also. My Stealer will back the 103 Stage II with SERT for the entire warranty period. As RockerMike stated the ability to download new maps and ride away is a great feature. Plus it's adjustable for most mods, cams, pipes, air cleaner. etc. I like the OEM street manners with the HD kits. I have read lots of posts on multiple forums about happy customers with the HD 103 w/ SERT setup. If I need more poo, I can go crazy once it's paid for.
