Default 07 fatboy leaking oil

Took my 07 fatboy in to the dealeryesterday to have an oil leak from under my engine checked out. He calls me back later and says it's leaking from where the cases split and needs a TOTAL engine disassembly for them to repair it. Says he will call a factory rep to come see it that theres a good chance the rep will tell them to pull the engine and send it back to the factory and give me a brand new one.....all under warranty. The only thing I don't like about it is 1) not having my bike and 2) going through theengine break-in thing again. Anyone else out there have a problem like that? You can betthat I'm going to argue with themabout giving me another two years warranty on that new engine.

How many miles did you put on your bike before this happened?

I think if they scewed up on that I would worry about what else was done. Take the new engine or get the dealer to trade it in on another at cost.

My bike has 4005 miles, not too many huh? Engine is all stock, only SERT, cobra pipes and SE air cleaner. I miss it already!

You did the 07 recall upgrades?

I would be very choked if something like this went wrong with my 07, after august, when my warranty expires.

The only recall I knew about was the battery box recall. Were there any more?
