Default Anyone try the Z Bars?

Hi Folks,

Been thinking about taking off the mini apes on my Night Train and going for some drags bars again. (I always seem to go back and forth) Has anyone tried the Z Bars? They look pretty cool for a drag bar, but I don't know anyone who's ever rode with them. Any input would be great!

I looked at the Z bars and spoke to a very experienced HD mechanic (who now runs his own shop) and he was pretty negative about the Z bars - mostly because of the construction, and the potential for mechanical failiure because of the joins.

I ended up going in the opposite direction and getting a set of Burleigh Westerm bars which are not ape like but still have some curve but flatter than the stock fatboy bars, and much fatter!

I had 12" z bars on my train, I liked them but they were too tall and I went with some real short risers with broomstick bars.

I like the short reach 1.5 inch up and 1 inch back and they sit just right on the speedo and dash
