Default lowering a Deluxe

has anyone lowered the Softail Deluxe? If so, what did you need to purchase to get it done? I am looking to lower the wifes bike about an inch if possible. the H-D Catalog says thier softail lowering will not lower the Deluxe...anyone know a company that makes a kit for this bike?

Default RE: lowering a Deluxe

They already come lowered 1" in the rear. You could put (an aftermarket) lwr'ing kit in the front. That'll drop the front an inch. Don't use Harley's kit. Junk junk junk !!! You could put adjustables on the rear. But lowering it more, it's going to bottom out on everthing. I had my Heritage lowered for awhile. It rode like a bucket of sh__.
