Default Help with V&H fuelpak

I have a 2008 softail deluxe 96ci .I installed the screamin eagle aircleaner with the K&N cleaner. Put on Vance & Hines duals and the vance & hines fuelpak with the setting FP-0676. The problem is its hard to start . It takes about 10 times to get it started. Once its started it runs like it should. When i stop it and try to start it its the same hard to start. Is anyone else running the same setup?

V&H was real helpful with my setup when I called them on the phone. I still have a decel burble and somtimes a lod pop or maybe a backfire. I put about 500 miles a week on my bike so I'm going to try a 50 at the 23 value and see what happens. I drive to work everyday when its nice. My bike get 44.5 MPG. How do you find out whatnumber to put where ? Be safe.

Its hard to tell from your picture, but I think you have VH big shot staggard longs? Duals usually exit on each side of the bike. If thats the case you need the map for big shot staggard longs.

I also modified mode 17 and 23. I have mode 17 set to 3 and mode 23 set to 50. Adding to mode 17 helped with hot starting. Setting mode 23 to 50 helped with decel issues.

I have V & H True duals, K&N Breather and a fuel pac.

I set everything as per instructions. It started and ran great with the occasional decel pop. I change mode 23 to 15 and it was about the same. I tried 50 and it had constant popping. I immediately put it back to the suggested setting, 16 I think, and I will live with the occasional pop.

I tried a few things with mine. I don't have a problem with starting, but decel pops I did have an issue. I tried in 23, 15, 16 and 50. I called V&H and they couldn't figure it out. I put my baffels back in and then re-cal'd it. I noticed that I had one pipe (the left) popping more then the right, so I bought a new socket and tightened it down. I again played with 23 and re-cal'd and most of it went away.

If your popping make sure your bolts are tight and you have good gaskets, then re-cal it. V&H told me that backfiring and some decel pops were from the throttle not being calibrated. They said you should count to 2 (1000-1, 1000-2,) with the first count it should be open and the second should be closed.
