I've been in two accidentswhile riding. I hit a car the first time, and a truck hit me the second. Thankfully, I was able to recover fully from both. I was being stupid and riding a wheelie when I hit the car, so I guess I asked for that one. When the truck hit me, I was paying attention and riding sensibly. I even saw it about to happen in that "bullet time" slow motion, but I was unable to do anything about it. I say the same thing to everyone I talk to who is thinking of taking up motorcycling, "it's not a matter of if you will get in an accident on a bike, but when."

New member of the Down club. I wrecked 2 sport bikes when i was young w/o getting too injured. Went down Wed. because i looked down to unzip a zipper. My mistake i guess it took longer than i realized and i was deep in a corner. Surgery is thursday to "put the jigsaw puzzle together" as the dr. called my arm. Wear ur gear. Have fun.

Was riding in stop and go traffic on a freshly paved road durin a light drizzle. Hit the front brake a little to hard and the bike went down in a nanosecond. Was doing about 25mph and went over the handlebars. Skidded on my palms enough to wear a hole through the palm of one of my leather gloves and kissed the pavement with the side of my face. Might have broken something in my face as I had an aweful sinus infection for about 3 weeks on that side to go with the black eye, but thank God for the gloves.

Had a 79 honda 400 few years ago..went around a corner way to fast, realized I wasn't goig to be able to make the turn so I breaked....rear tire locked up..held the skid..however when I let up flung me off the bike...saw the bike slide down the road infront of me. Scary as hell..had a full face to the face was okay...knee right arm (near elbow) serious road rash (I had a polo on..dumb..)..have a big bumpy scar now...but it's cool, I tell the ladies I was bitten buy a shark.

Got a deuce two weeks ago...going to wear gear and definitely going to be careful on her.

+ 1 . you really are kidding yourself if you don;t think you will ever fall off. just a question of how bad.
