Default Tail light won't stay tight

I recently removed & replaced the license plate bracket along with the tail light, used all original HD parts, no aftermarket stuff and the tail light assembly won't stay tight. The lens stays tightOK,the problem is thetwo plastic studs that secure the tail light assembly to thelicense plate bracket - usesa flimsy spring nut.

DoI need to get the whole new assembly?? If so I'm thinking go aftermarket with something that has metal studs so I can put loctite on it.

Oh yes . . .1999 Night Train all stock
