anti vibration footboards
Hi
Has anyone any experience with anti vibration footboards? Are they any improvement over stock? I have just fitted footboard extenders to my 97 Heritage and it appears to me the vibration has got worse since doing it,maybe it's just my imagination or maybe the bike just isn't running right.
Anyway any info would be appreciated.

Footboard vibration
I have a new 2009 St.Glide that the vibration is so bad that I could only keep the ball of my foot in it. When I rested the hills of my book, or the whole feet, it was quite unconfortable.
I am specially worried because I have a 4500 miles trip on Route 66 this Spring and I have to find something better.
thanks
David

Since you have an Evo motor, you are going to have more vibration than the TC88B motor. All HD's floorboards are rubber mounted, so other than getting some floorboard inserts that also have rubber inserts in them, there really isnt much your going to do. If you have the money, you could re-gear your tranny (or move to a 6 speed) to reduce the RPM's of the motor at speed and that would help, but that would be far more expensive.
