Default tracking straight on the road...

Can you guys with bikes that have factory installed wide tire kits (NT, SC, etc.) tell me how to check for proper front and rear tire alignment so that the bike tracks straight and true? Letting go of the bars, (not for kicks) my bike pulls left quite happily. I'm not diggin' it.

I adjust belt for proper tension and then hold a very straight edge against pully and measure the difference between front and back of belt.

The manual says to measure between the swingarm pivot bolt and the axle but my bike is not aligned right when i do that.

The dealership even did that on the 1000 mile service and it pulled to the left.

If your bike pulls left, your left side of the axle needs to go back towards rear of bike.

Make sure what you are feeling is not the crown of the road too. Some states put alot of crown on the road to allow water to drain to the side quicker.

I do my best to adjust then road test and adjust accordingly.

Do a search on forum and there will be numerous threads on this that may give more help.

align the rear.
the dealers and other independents can't.
i made a custom gauge that references off the swing arm pivot.
mine use to go around left corners real easy and could never let go on good roads.
now it's perfect.
