Bar choices
Here is my problem.
My bike used to have a Road Tech radio. Problem was that I did not like to bar position of the stock bars, they made me reach to far. I thn pu on a set of pull back risers. This put the bars in the perfect position but I lost the use of the radio.
I have since then been on several long rides and I really miss being able to crank the tunes. Are there any stock bar choices that will allow me to get the same bar position as the stock bars with the pull back risers but allow me to re-install the radio? The key point being that I have to be able to use the stock risers since the radio mount is bolted over the riser plate and had to be level.
The risers were like 4.5" rise with about an half inch or so of pull back. These are the ones I am using right now http://www.jpcycles.com/productdetail.aspx?PID=5000370

RE: Bar choices
OK, I went out to the local harley shop and checked the used parts department and found a mint set of bars off a Heritage.
Put them on tonight with the stock risers and its like having mini apes. The bars are now at the perfect position with the stock risers and my riding position is actually better.
The spread of the bars is narrower than the stock fatboy bars, but the rise is longer. Cost me a whopping 20.00 plus tax.
All the cables, wires and lines were long enough, although it was a little bit of a stretch to get the second grip on. The radio is back in and all is well in the universe.

RE: Bar choices
I had a he$$ of a time trying to figure out handle bars on my Fatty, I'm glad you got something to work for ya.
I probably spent 15 hundred changing out bars and still wasn't the happiest of campers.
Running internal wires in the bars was costly if you do it more than once.
Now are we gonna talk about Titty Bars or not?
