I have an '06 Heritage Classic. The heat shield next to the right side floor board started rattling. Tightened the brackets. Top one was loose. Shield still rattles at the end by the floor board. Any suggestions?

 

Take it off and inspect for a cracked spot weld for the clamps.

 

My Softail did that when I first bought it and I just took a piece of flat bar and stuck it under it and bent it up a little. It used to drive me nuts. Ride Safe.

 

Thanks to both of you. There was no crack, but it looks like I pushed the guard in with my heel boot. Pulled out a little and rattle stopped.
