Default Rain Stops Play!

Today was the day to pick up my new Rocker C. The shop is around an hour from my home. Halfway there the rain came down. No way am I picking up another new bike in the rain (12 bikes in my life, all picked up in the rain - no honest, its true!).

So we turned back, even the shop advised against picking it up. Here in the UK the roads are filthy when the rain comes. I guess that's the world over, but I think the constant gritting and salting over winter takes months of rain to wash away.

Going to try again tomorrow.....

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind cleaning my machines, all part of the pride thing, but I want to ride it some before I spend 5 days cleaning it!

Good luck picking-up the bike tomorrow - hope if doesn't rain for you.

On my scheduled pick-up day, I had a contingency plan in place. Like you, my dealer was about an hour away from my house so I made a deal with him to pay for his transport van fuel (~ $70) and have the Bike delivered to my house if it rained. Didn't rain and I didnot need to exercise the option but it was nice to have a backup plan in place for pick-up day.

I had the dealer deliver it in a covered trailer free.
