Well, I've heard it said there are those that have laid thier bikes down and there are those that will...I've checked that block now on a Harley:-( Had a crazy lady lock her brakes up because she missed a yard sale...as I locked mine up and laid my train down just before smashing into the rear of her car...all while trying to miss the van that hogged the ditch on the other side! She finished her swing around and was just setting there gazing at me as I tried to pick my baby up off the double yellow line. I had to repent for the things I said in the heat of the moment...non-bikers just don't get! A few scratches and a broken clutch lever...I think I'll keep'em, character and constant reminder.
Note to self: Stay away from yard sales! Glad you're not hurt. I hate to hear when bikers are killed. We had 3 in one weekend a couple weeks ago. I had a car lock up in front of me. I hit him doing about 25 mph. I FLEW over the bike, the car, across the street, up into somebodies yard. Like you, my bike took the brunt of the blow. I learned. My helmet and jacket saved me some PAIN...
