Default Removing rear turn signals on a 2008 fat Boy

I now have a relocate kit for my rear turn signals located on the rear most holes of the fender rail on my Fat Boy. I know I need to remove the fender rails to remove the signals. Are there any precautions or tricks I need to know, or is it pretty straight foward. Does the bike have to be raised, etc?

Default RE: Removing rear turn signals on a 2008 fat Boy

Just did mine. Relocation to install detachable sissy bar. Follow the instructions....didn't have to completely remove the side rail. Somehow the wires came up short after reloaction...it's close!! I had to go buy more wire and make the cable longer. Take your time, be patient. Good luck.

I just completed adding new grips and chrome switch housings and chrome switch buttons....WOW...took 7 hours. Several times I almost gave up.
