Default V&H duals small exhaust shield

Can someone get me a close up picture of the small exhaust shield for the V&H duals. I took mine off because it turned brown in a small section. So i had to buff that out. I need to see a close up pic of someone elses so i can get it put back on right. I cant figure outwhich way it went back on lol. Also has anyone else had there shield turn brown from the heat? The exhaust mentioned is on a 2008 deluxe not the one pictured.

It happened to mine also. I took it off and rubbed Blue Job on it and it came right off. What happened is that it was touching the actual pipe. All you need is to reposition it and tighen it down. I not a big fan of it myself.

Mine turned color also. The dealer told me it was the way its designed .only one clamp on it and it almost touches pipe.He recommended heat wrap to possibly help.I wonder if vh has any way to prevent this.
