Default tire advice needed

Last year i had the 10,000 mile service done at my selling dealer. I needed a new rear tire and thats all i told them. I did not pay any attention as to what model tire they put on only that it was a Dunlop and said Harley Davidson in the side wall and it looked good so off i went until a week ago when i was checking out the bike for the Rhody run in Florence oregon i noticed how little tread was left. At 4600 miles it has 3/32 left and then i saw the tire model number K 591. This tire is for a sport bike, the Dunlop chart says to use a 401 for the rear and a 402 for the front. Now i think the dealer owes me some money off the next tire but i don't know how much to ask for. The 401 list price is 124.00 and the K 591 was 194.00 and has 3/32 less tread on it new than the 401 does. My bike is a Heritage Classic 05 and it sure the hell is not a sport bike. Thanks Richard

If you did not tell them to put that tire on then the replacement is free. I would tell, not ask them to put the correct tire on the bike and it will be done for free or you will spend all your remaining HD's somewhere else. The main reason for this stance is that they, the dealer put the wrong part on the bike so its their responsibility.

The K 591 is what the Deuce and a few other models run out back. It's a v-rated tire. Softer, grippier tread and higher top speed rating.
